Yarnaholic? Me?

I've cast on a few lace projects, but I've never been really happy with the way they were working out, so I've frogged every one. Now I'm trying again, biting off a smaller mouthful, as it were, with Susan's Branching Out. The yarn I'm using is some Rowanspun DK from a special source (thanks again for the tip, Teri). It's the heathered green yarn you see in the middle above. The pattern only uses about a skein so I'll have nine more skeins to make a bigger scarf or shawl (I've been thinking about Print 'o the Wave for a long time now and after seeing Margene's similar --and maybe prettier-- Seaweed, I was sold). I also want to do a lacy scarf in a fuzzier, softer yarn, and I'm very excited about the new introduction to Orenburg lace that Susan's also provided us. The other skeins in the photo above are proof of my total lack of self-control in the yarn department. (Remember the mini-stashalong, the yarn diet I was trying in good faith to maintain? I don't either. I have no recollection of it.) I'm good about not buying lots of new clothes, but shoes and yarn get me every time. I'm trying to change that, and have imposed an actual budget on myself. We'll see how that goes.

Shoes and yarn. Nothing else gets me into trouble faster.

I forgot to ask you last night about the Costco incident. Did you call their corporate headquarters??
