Thanks for all the supportive comments on the Costco issue. What Heather said is exactly what my husband and I said to each other: "This isn't 1975." I will pursue the issue.

In other news, here, finally, is a photo of the bag that Jessamyn knit for me for the bag exchange. She made it with Brown Sheep's Cottonfleece which is tricky stuff, and she used a beautiful herringbone stitch. The bag is exactly the perfect size in which to carry my big lady wallet and maybe my cell phone and chapstick. It's great for when I want to go out without a diaper bag and only carry the essentials. I used it Wednesday night to go out to MoDiggity's for karaoke with friends and siblings. (About which I must say, it takes more alcohol than is healthy to make karaoke work for me. Really. I'm bowing out next time. Unless I get to sing "Rawhide".)
