UFOff.

This is the Arrowhead lace scarf blocking on my VERY old couch (we inherited it from my best -friend-in-high-school's parents, who bought it at a yard sale when they first got married over 25 years ago--but it was still pretty new when they bought it, so it's maybe only 30, really).

The UFOff continues. I have seven rows left on the baby blanket I've been working on (and off and on) since I was pregnant with my 21 month old son. And the baby sweater that I started when I was pregnant with my four and a half year old daughter is more than two-thirds done. I can hardly believe it. And I've decided on my next project: Fair Isle mittens of my own design. I'm not getting many chances to knit this week because The Neefer is on another week-long trip (this one to St. Louis), leaving me to find entertainment and sustenance for our three and a half very young children all by myself. Speaking of which, my ultrasound is tomorrow morning. I can't wait to find out what we're naming this baby.

I vote for Charlemagne for the name--boy or girl.

I thought I was the only one who named my babies after the ultrasound. I just got so tired of calling it "IT" that I figured a real name was in order. ;)

I think you should follow in the naming tradition of your family and pick a scriptural name. I like Lemuel.

At least he's only 21 months and not 21 years.

Ooh, Charlemagne! Very regal, very unusual. Very unlikely?

Wait--isn't it LUKE if it's a boy?
