Oh kittens, I am so very tired. Yesterday our real estate agent called us to say that a house had come down in price in the Avenues (the gentrified neighborhood we hope to buy a house in, but probably can't afford). The selling agent was hosting an openhouse, so we ran up there before going to the hardware store. This house has everything we want: big yard, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, fantastic kitchen, trees suitable for a treehouse (W's only requirement), a huge front porch, and it's only a few blocks from W's school (right now a 15 minute drive away). I'm calling the mortgage officer today (I've procrastinated this, as with everything else.) We decided on Friday to do everything we could to get our house ready to list at the beginning of August, so we spent the weekend with noses to the grindstone. And now if we want to buy this house, the pressure just ratcheted up a few more notches. I keep reminding myself that if it's right, it will work out.
Also, I made apricot blackberry jam Friday night with fruit from my grandparents' bushes and trees. Making jam is very hot work, but it tastes soooooo good. And it's even better on homemade bread, so there's that much more incentive to bake (not like I needed it--when I'm procrastinating, the first thing I do is bake).

Good luck on the housing situation!
It seems the push you needed just happened! Good luck!!
I hope you get the house!
Oooh sounds exciting. Good luck.
As for the bread, a trip to Pierre would be a less-sweaty alternative.
Oooo, the Aves, sounds perfect. Good luck!
Best of luck!
I am hoping for the best with the housing situation; you sure could use room to expand and that extra 1/2 hour a day not driving to and from school. The jam looks yum!
mmmmmmmmmm....that jam has me drooling!
