Questions. For Me and For You.

I cut the baby's hair for the first time yesterday. He still has some curls, but the ones around his shoulders are gone. He still looks cute, but now I hopefully won't get anymore "wow, your little girl sure can scream" comments. Now I'll get "your son just shattered the store's windows with his shrieking--that will be twelve thousand dollars, ma'am" comments.

Soap Questions: If you want to have a little soap tet-a-tet yourself, talk to me and maybe we could set up a time. It was really fun to teach Laurie and Michaele how to do it, and I've taught a couple of other people in the past. Also, if you're interested (hey, Kathy), Susan Miller Cavitch has written two excellent books called The Natural Soap Book and The Soap Maker's Companion. They're a good foundation and offer a lot of recipes as well. There is also a lot of information online. Google cold-process soapmaking or check out Soapcrafters. I get a lot of supplies from them and they offer a lot of support and information as well. You can also start with "melt and pour" glycerin soap, which is sort of soapmaking lite but still educational and fun. And finally, I was holding the Maglight so that I could see the soap--we were using a black pot and we were having some trouble seeing the color we were ending up with, so the light, um, illuminated things a bit.

T-Shirt Questions: I need to do a little market research here. What sizes do people like to wear? What colors do you like? I'm going to buy the blank shirts this week, and I'm trying to figure out how many, what colors, and in what sizes to purchase. After that, it's off to the print studio.

Hey, I meant to tell you... you should contact my sister. She's going to be putting in an order to a place that gets stuff REALLY cheap, she's got a wholesale license, and she can help you meet minimum orders. E-mail me if you're interested and I can give you her e-mail address and phone number.

Hi Katherine,
I didn't get to meet you on my visit with Margene but I'd love to get one of those t-shirts when you're ready. Thanks!

I wear size Medium and usually like more form fitting t-shirts if I am going to wear it out of the house--which I so would want to with this shirt. Hey, maybe this t-shirt is your ticket to the big time (don't ask me what the "big time" is but you are headed there.)

I usually wear a medium and I think you can't go wrong with black and white. But when you print more, can I provide my own shirts to you? I'm a little anal that way. (And, of course, I'm happy to still pay full price.)
Oh, and I'm so in if you do another soap-making tutorial.

Don't forget to make a few XL for those of us who like looser clothing! I am so enchanted by your t-shirts - they're really special.

I'm a medium to a large t-shirt person - - if they're a cap sleeve then I like a medium - a normal sleeve looks okay in a looser fit, I think. Personally I'm getting a wee bit tired of the black t-shirts (too hot & grunge-band looking for me at the moment) and white t-shirts and my 15-month old just to NOT mix. I'm currently drooling over your brown t-shirt, and I'd imagine one in a nice olive-y green would also be fantastic......

I suppose having some plus-sized T-shirts probably isn't viable, but as an alternative, could you still have an option to provide your own t-shirt?

Also, Sky does NOT look like a girl.

I like my t-shirts a little loose - the buddah belly does not need to be seen by all - I usually wear a medium or large depending on the cut.

Also, I would love to learn to make soap. I love the soap you have made and given to me.

I usually wear a medium unless it's a particularly long shirt, then I go with large (I have huge hips, mediums don't fit over them :oP). I'm a fan of all colors except yellow (well, I like yellow, just not as a shirt; makes me look sickly).

I was so glad to read that you're going to print more. I'm a M. I like the brown one in your photo. Any chance of long sleeves or scoop neck? (I also loved seeing one of my favorite words on your blog...saponified!)

Thanks so much for those resources! I am excited to try this out. I'd love LOVE to buy a shirt -- they are so cute -- a medium would work for me.

Ohh -- and too bad I'm not in SLC, I'd love to come for a lesson!

Oh wow, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your shirts!!! I'm absolutely drooling over the black ones. Let me know if you decide to start selling one in a 2x and I'm there!!

I lived in SLC/Murray for about two years in the mid-90s, but I wasn't knitting yet. You guys there in SLC sound like a lot of fun, and in some ways I wish we were still there.
