Michaele brought an incredible hazelnut flourless torte she had made to Stitch'n'Bitch last night, and I could hardly eat it because I had first gone to a family dinner at my mother's. Aima made French onion soup, and while her soups are always amazing, this one was sublime. My forte has always been in the dessert department, so my contribution to the meal was an apple upside-down cake

(adapted from a recipe for plum upside-down cake in the "Moosewood Restaurant Book of Desserts"). As The Neefer always says, life is too short to eat crappy food. (Want to see more Yarnites following the Foodie path?
Susan is doing it too.)

Oh, I live Moosewood. I'll have to tell you about the time my kids ordered a peanut butter and jelly sandwich at the restaurant in Ithaca.
I meant love, not live. Doh.
Good heavens, that looks so delicious. I made sour cream ice cream the other day; I think these two desserts should meet :)
